TECHNICS: WOOD

Wood technics is a two year practical course enabling students to gain a firm grounding in the skills and pleasures associated with woodworking.

This course is primarily "hands on" where students are given every opportunity to learn a full range of woodworking skills and knowledge.

In Year 9 students are given detailed instructions in the use of both hand and machine tools whilst constructing a wide range of projects associated with wood turning and cabinetwork.

In Year 10, students are given the opportunity to design and construct their own projects depending upon their interests,  needs and abilities.

 

Students can expect to be involved in the construction of projects such as:

*   Ornaments

*   Novelties

*   Jewellery Boxes

*   CD Racks

*   Knife Racks
