FOOD TECHNOLOGY Stage 4 & 5 - Year 7-10 Food Technology looks directly at food and the ways in which it is grown, processed, cooked, packaged and sold. Food Technology involves students investigating food through practical "hands on" experiences. It provides opportunities for students to evaluate the impact of food technologies on society and the environment.
Food Technology will assist all students of diverse ability to acquire skills in: (a) Decision-making (b) Problem-solving (c) Communication (d) Practical Application (e) Theoretical Application The above skills will enable students to cope and succeed in an ever-changing society.
